The Special Gifts
Children’s Wish is a program to allow them to fully experience the once in a lifetime opportunity of their dream.
In order to qualify for a special wish, a child needs to be diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and must complete application.
Do you have a list of wishes for my child to choose from?
We do not provide a list of wishes. Your child provides the list to us and we work to fulfill your child’s most desired wish. Past wishes typically fall in one of these categories:
I wish be…
I wish to have…
I wish to meet…
I wish to go to…
What are the limitations for wish fulfillment?
We do not have a minimum age, however, if the child’s health allows it, we try to wait to fulfill the wish until the child is old enough to fully enjoy and remember the experience. The child’s doctor determines whether the wish desired is suitable given the child medical condition and we work with the child, family and doctors to find the best time for the child to enjoy his or her wish.
This program brings families closer together also. Our Family special gift program offers supportive opportunities for our families to spend time together away from their everyday struggles, and far from their normal hospital routine.
For a family in the midst of the devastating challenges that come with caring for a seriously ill child, often the best relief for a family is a simple quick escape. Thanks to donations from local retailers, restaurants, and merchants, we offer gift cards and certificates for families to enjoy a special dinner together or a trip to a local family entertainment center or theater, giving families an evening out that they will always remember.
